CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the Slow Juicer is turned OFF and unplugged before cleaning or
attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE base in water or any other liquid.
It is important to clean your Slow Juicer thoroughly after each use to prevent sticky build
ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the Slow Juicer can lead to a cleaner,
better tasting juice.
1.
Disassemble the Slow Juicer.
2.
Clean the juice bowl, juice and pulp containers, the auger, the strainer holder, the
hopper, and the food pusher with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry as best
as possible with a clean soft cloth.
3.
Use the nylon brush and running water to clean the fine mesh holes of the strainer.
Once the mesh is clean you may wash it with warm soapy water. Be sure to rinse it
thoroughly before drying to remove any soap residue.
4.
Use the pointed end of the brush to push any excess pulp from the juice bowl through
the pulp spout if needed.
5.
If holes are blocked or the mesh does not come clean you may soak it in a solution of
very warm water with a little bit of lemon juice for up to 5 minutes before using the
brush again. DO NOT soak in bleach.
6.
Wipe the base with a damp soft cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners
or pads when cleaning the base as they may scratch the surface.
DO NOT PLACE ANY PART OF THE JUICER IN THE DISHWASHER.
This juicer should be hand washed and dried only.
TIPS
Discoloration of the plastic parts may occur with brightly colored fruit and vegetables.
To help prevent this, wash the parts immediately after use.
If discoloration does occur, the plastic parts can be soaked in 10% lemon juice and
water mixture or they can be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner.
