Care should be taken to match movement speed to the maturity and density of the hedge . For best
results the operator can use the slewing movement of the parent machine to cut through thick,
heavy growth . For finer, lighter cutting of the hedge the operator can use the tracking movement to
get the desired finish .
When changing the cutting angle or position of the hedge trimmer adjustments should
only be made when the trimmer blades and fingers are not in contact with the hedge . If
adjustments are made whilst in contact with the hedge this will result in damage to the
blades and fingers .

If branches become jammed in the trimmer keep the trimmer running and reverse away from the
