on the Main Power Switch, the red lamp on the kettle body lights up, then turn on
the Boiling Switch Control by switch the “Boiling Water” side down to boil the water.
Once the water is boiling, the Boiling Switch will be automatically switched off, the
red lamp turns out and the blue lamp turns on.
Note:
■
The Boiling Switch Control should be turned on when boiling water, otherwise the
water can not reach 100°C.
■
Do not open the cover while the water is boiling, wait a few seconds to let the hot
vapour to escape, otherwise scalding may occur.
■
Kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
Infusing Tea
■
Add some tea leaf into the basket, put it into the Tea Pot. After the water is boiling,
pour the boiling water into the Tea Pot then put it on the kettle. You must leave some
water in the kettle to keep warm the Tea Pot.
Pour out tea and serve
■
When the tea is infused, remove the basket, pour out tea and serve.
Cleaning
■
First read the instructions in the section titled ‘Importance’.
■
Always disconnect the kettle from electrical outlet before cleaning.
■
Before cleaning make sure the kettle and the Tea Pot is cold enough.
■
Clean the exterior surface of the kettle with a clean, damp cloth to preserve its
original highly polished finish. Dry and polish with a soft cloth.
■
Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring agents of any kind inside or on the
exterior of the kettle.
■
Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or other liquid, and make sure
the electrical kettle socket is kept dry.
Descaling
■
Half fill the kettle with tap water and add the juice of 1 lemon to the water.
■
Boil this mixture and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Re-boil the mixture and allow it
to stand a further 15 minutes. Re-boil this mixture a third time then rinse the kettle well.
DESCALING FOR COFFEE MAKER
■
To clean your kettle with a descaling agent: Once you have boiled some water in
the kettle, add the decaling agent and mix them. Boil for 2-3 minutes more, empty
the kettle, and rinse the inside of it 2-3 times repeatedly.
