ASSEMBLY & ADJUSTMENTS
INSTALLING OFFSET bARS FOR JOINTING
Two offset bars are included for jointing operations. Offsetting the outfeed
fence face provides a straight path for the workpiece to be guided as it
passes by the router cutter, and the workpiece is completely supported
throughout the operation.
Each offset bar can be positioned in two ways, depending on the amount of
offset needed. The offset bars provided can offset the outfeed fence face by
0.7mm, when flipped over it can offset the outfeed fence face by 1.5mm.
1) Loosen the 3 lock knobs (A) Fig.11 at the back of the fence which secure
the left side fence face (B).
2) Decide the amount of offset desired (0.7mm or 1.5mm). The side of the
offset bar which gets installed will determine the offset. Install smallest
t-slot of the offset bar for 0.7mm setting, or the opposite for 1.5mm
setting.
3) Once you have determined which side will give you the desired offset,
slide the offset bar (C) Fig.11 into the upper T-slot (D) of the fence as
shown. Then install the second offset bar (E) in the lower T-slot (F) of the
fence.
4) Once the adjustment is done, retighten 3 lock knobs (A) Fig.11 at the
back of the fence.
Note:
When the offset bars are not being used, they can be positioned in
the T-slot (A) Fig.12 of the fence.
ADJUSTING SIDE RAIL RULERS
1) The side rail rulers (A) Fig.13 are adjustable and can be repositioned to
suit your needs. Loosen lock knob (B) under the side rail, reposition the
ruler (A) and retighten lock knob (B).
2) Repeat for the other side.
