Detection
The
BPM1KTL
is
designed
to
detect
Premature
Ventricular
Contractions,
also
known
as
a
Premature
Ventricular
Complex
(or
complexes),
Ventricular
Premature
Contractions
(or
complex
or
complexes),
Ventricular
Premature
Beats,
or
Extrasystoles.
It
is
not
designed
to
detect
Atrial
Fibrillation
or
Atrial
Premature
Beats.
If
an
irregular
heart
beat
is
detected
during
measurement,
an
indicator
will
be
displayed
and
the
measurement
should
be
taken
again
after
a
short
rest.
IMPORTANT:
Users
should
refrain
from
eating,
drinking,
smoking
or
exercise
for
30
minutes
in
order
to
obtain
accurate
results.
The
user
should
rest
for
5
minutes
before
taking
a
reading
and
should
not
move
or
talk
while
the
reading
is
being
taken.

Blood
Pressure
Classification:
Blood
pressure
is
classified
based
on
the
systolic
and
diastolic
blood
pressures
measured
in
millimeters
of
mercury
(mmHg).
Systolic
blood
pressure
is
the
blood
pressure
in
vessels
during
a
heartbeat
and
is
the
higher
number.
Diastolic
blood
pressure
is
the
pressure
between
heartbeats
and
is
the
lower
number.
These
two
numbers
are
given
together
i.e.
“120
over
80”
to
indicate
a
blood
pressure
value.
How

Blood
Pressure
Monitor:
The
cuff
must
be
wrapped
1
‐
2cm
above
the
elbow
joint
with
the
rubber
tube
running
down
the
centre
of
the
arm.
