If the LO W ter minal of this tester is connected to the HIGH or LO W ter mi -
nal of the ear th contin uity tester T OS6200, the ammeter will mak e mea -
surement errors if GU ARD is selected, as the resistor inside the T OS6200
is connected in par allel to the tester’ s ammeter . Theref ore , to use the
T OS6200, a v oid connecting these ter minals , or select LO W .
Select GU ARD only when DUTs, such as small electronic components and jigs, are
completely “ fl oating” electrically .
As sho wn in Fig. 3-10 , the GU ARD mode enables high-sensiti vity , high accurac y
measurement, as it e xcludes the current by insulation resistance of the test leadwire
and jigs.
