7.3 Checking and R eplacing the Fuse
• T o avoid electric shock, always turn off the P O W ER switch and unplug the
AC power cord from an electrical outlet before performing inspections or
replacing the fuse.
• T o avoid electric shock, make sure that the replacement fuse is of the cor-
rect shape, rating, and characteristics for tester specifications. N ever use
a fuse having a different rating; never short-circuit the fuse holder.
1. T urn off the P O W ER switch and unplug the AC power cord from the
electrical outlet.
2. Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC L INE connector on the rear
panel.
3. U se a screwdriver to remove the fuse holder, as shown in Fig. 7-1.
