It may be necessary to remove the battery for recharging, storage or replacement.
ONLY AN ADULT MAY REMOVE THE BATTERY.

Unplug the battery connector from
the battery.

Open the hood and locate 12-volt
battery.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to
remove the screw from the battery
bracket. Remove and set aside the
bracket and screw. Lift the battery
from its compartment.
ONLY AN ADULT MAY HANDLE
THE BATTERY. DO NOT drop
the battery. Permanent damage
could occur.

Replacing the 12-Volt Battery

ONLY AN ADULT MAY HANDLE THE BATTERY.
Lower the battery into its
compartment. Replace the battery bracket on the battery. Insert the fastener into
the battery bracket and turn clockwise. Do not overtighten!

Plug the battery connector into the battery.
•
Lower the hood completely.
