SUBJECT:
The 07130-10100 Kia Multi-
Media Interface Tester (MIT) was developed to test a vehicle’s audio
input and Bluetooth
®
functions. The MIT outputs three distinct audio files to test the AUX/Line-In,
Bluetooth, and USB functions of the audio system. The operation of each function is confirmed by
the technician via these recordings played back through the vehicle’s audio system.
Power Cable Connection
1. Connect the updated 12 Volt Power
Adapter/Cable to the MIT USB connection.
Testing the AUX/Line-In function
1. Connect the 12-Volt Power Adapter/Cable
to the accessories power port.
2. Connect the AUX and USB cables from the
MIT to the AUX/USB/IPOD Port on the
vehicle.
3. Press and release the
TEST SELECTOR
button until the MIT
AUX
LED illuminates.
4. Vehicle should default to
AUX
input. Audio
playback confirms that the audio input jack
test is working correctly.
NOTICE
Volume levels may vary depending
on vehicle
’s audio system.
