Procedure:

 

1.  Pry off the rear shrouds from the backrest.

 

2.  Pry the Back Shroud from the Back Assembly.

 

3.  Remove the screws holding the backrest to the steel backrest

     support and remove the backrest.

General Notes:

 

1.  Disassembly time: 30-45 minutes

 

2.  This procedure assumes basic familiarity with hand tools and

     furniture terminology: no specialized training is required

 

3.  All materials removed and disassembled shall be sorted and

     segregated with like materials and disposed of or recycled

     according to recycling availability or waste acceptance

 

4.  For items to be recycled, refer to KI's End of Life Recycling

     Matrix and KI's End of Life Recovery Options Matrix, available

     at www.ki.com

are Material Type A: Steel

Procedure:

 

1.  Remove the screws holding the backrest onto the back sup-

     ports and remove the backrest.

 

2.  Pry off the cover under the seat to expose the seat support

     plate. Remove the screws holding the support plate to the seat

     and remove the seat.

 

3.  Remove the screws holding each arm cap to the back sup-

     ports and remove the arm caps.

 

4.  Pry out the end caps holding the arms onto the torsion tube

     and remove the outer bushings. Rotate each inner bushing so

     that the slot underneath is aligned with the pin. Push back on

     the support which will allow the pin to drop out. Pull the sup-

     ports and inner bushings away from the frame and pull out the

     leaf springs.

 

5.  Pry out the caps from the seat frame tubes underneath the seat.

 

6.  Pry out the casters and caster bushings from the chair base.
