STARTING AT ONE END OF THE TENT THREAD THIS POLE THROUGH THE SLEEVE
SECTION RUNNING ACROSS THE ROOF OF YOUR TENT. THE METAL ANGLE BRACKETS
SHOULD BE CLEAR OF THE SLEEVES AT BOTH ENDS.
REPEAT THIS FOR THE REMAINING 3 FIBERGLASS ROOF POLES.
ENSURE CARE IS TAKEN DURING THIS PROCEDURE, NOT TO ALLOW THE ENDS OF THE
SHOCKCORDED POLES TO DAMAGE SLEEVES OR FLYSHEET MATERIAL.
TAKE ONE OF THE ASSEMBLED METAL MAIN POLE UPRIGHTS AND CHOOSING ONE
SIDE OF THE ROOF POLE ENGAGE THE FERRELLED END INTO THE OPEN END OF THE
METAL ANGLE BRACKET ON THAT SIDE.
THE BASE OF THE UPRIGHT POLE THEN ENGAGES ONTO THE RING AND PIN FIXTURE.
THIS WILL BE LOCATED AT THE BASE OF THE FLYSHEET,NEAR TO THE SEAM
RUNNING DOWN FROM THE SLEEVE IN WHICH THE POLE IS LOCATED.
PLEASE NOTE
THAT THE ADJUSTABLE WEBBING STRAPS ATTACHED TO THE RING AND PIN SHOULD BE
SLACKENED OFF BEFORE INSERTING THE PIN INTO THE POLE. AFTER LOCATING THE PIN,
ADJUST THE STRAP WITHOUT OVER TIGHTENING.
EACH POLE RETAINING FIXTURE WILL HAVE A METAL RING WITH ONE OR MORE
RETAINING PINS ATTACHED TO IT ( DEPENDANT UPON MODEL ).
THE RETAINING PIN IS DESIGNED TO SLIDE UP INSIDE THE POLE ENDS THUS SECURING
THE POLE INTO PLACE.
USING A FURTHER METAL MAIN POLE UPRIGHT REPEAT FOR THE OPPOSITE SIDE.
RUNNING DOWN THE SEAM, FROM THE SLEEVE, ON EACH SIDE OF THE TENT YOU
WILL NOTICE THREE FLYSHEET TO MAIN POLE WEBBING CLIPS. ALL THESE, SHOULD
SIMPLY BE CLIPPED TO THE METAL MAIN POLES ALLOWING THE FLYSHEET TO TAKE
FULL SHAPE.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE NOT INTENDED AS GUY POINT FIXINGS.
THEN LAY THE ASSEMBLED POLE SECTIONS AND FLYSHEET DOWN ON THE GROUND.
5: TAKING THE REMAINING METAL MAIN POLE UPRIGHTS AND THE SECOND, THIRD
AND FORTH ROOF POLES SEPARATELY REPEAT POINT 4. IT IS BEST TO START AT ONE
END OF THE FLYSHEET AND WORK TOWARDS THE OPPOSITE END OF THE TENT.
DURING BOTH POINTS 4 & 5 ENSURE THAT THE POLE JOINING FERRULES DO NOT CATCH
ON THE INSIDE OR EDGE OF THE MATERIAL SLEEVES. SHOULD THIS HAPPEN CAREFULLY
FREE THE SLEEVE BEFORE CONTINUING. FAILURE TO FREE THE SLEEVE MAY CAUSE THE
MATERIAL TO TEAR AND OR STITCHED SEAMS TO BURST.
6: THE MAIN AREA OF THE FLYSHEET SHOULD NOW BE READY FOR PEGGING.
POSITION THE FLYSHEET ON THE GROUND SO THAT THE FRONT DOOR IS FACING
AWAY FROM THE PREVAILING WIND.
CLOSE ALL ZIPS ON THE FLYSHEET AND USING THE PEGS PROVIDED PEG THE MAIN
TWO CORNERS OF THE END THAT’S FACING INTO THE WIND, TO THE GROUND. TAKE
THE TWO MAIN PEGGING POINTS ON THE OPPOSITE END AND PULL THE FLYSHEET
AND POLES AWAY FROM THE PEGGED SECTION SO THE TENT TAKES SHAPE, THEN PEG
THESE POINTS TO THE GROUND. ASSISTANCE FROM THE SECOND PERSON PRESENT
WILL BE REQUIRED AT THIS POINT.
ENSURE THAT THE OVERALL LAY OF THE FLYSHEET IS SMOOTH WHEN PEGGED. THE
FLYSHEET SHOULD BE TAUGHT, BUT NOT OVER-TENSIONED, AS THIS WILL ONLY
DISTORT THE FIBERGLASS / METAL POLES AND SUBSEQUENTLY AFFECT STABILITY.
YOU MAY FIND IT NECESSARY TO ADJUST THE POSITION OF THE TWO END PEGGING
POINTS IN ORDER TO GET THE OVERALL LAY OF THE FLYSHEET FABRIC SMOOTH AND
FREE FROM WRINKLES OR FOLDS.
ONCE YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE OVERALL LAY OF THE FLYSHEET YOU CAN
THEN AND ONLY THEN PEG THE REMAINING PEGGING LOOPS INTO POSITION.
ON CERTAIN TRIANGULAR GUY POINTS YOU WILL SEE TWO VELCRO STRAPS, THESE
ARE INTENDED TO BE WRAPPED AROUND THE MAIN POLE ALLOWING THE GUY ROPE
TO SUPPORT BOTH THE FLYSHEET AND MAIN POLE SIMULTAINEOUSLY.
