Standard Event Status Group
These registers are programmed by Common commands. The group consists of an Event and Enable
register.The Standard Event event register latches events relating to communication status. It is a
read-only register that is cleared when read. The Standard Event enable register functions similarly
to the enable registers of the Operation and Questionable status groups. Refer to
Status Registers for
a description of each register. The following table describes the bit assignments.

Error 8 A device-specific error, including a selftest error, calibration error or other device-
specific error occurred.

7 Power On 128 Power has been cycled since the last time the event register was read or cleared.
Status Byte Register
This register summarizes the information from all other status groups as defined in the IEEE 488.2
Standard Digital Interface for Programmable Instrumentation. The following table describes the bit
assignments.

Available 16 Data is available in the instrument's output buffer.
5 Event Status
Summary 32 One or more bits are set in the Standard Event Register. Bits must be enabled, see
