7.3 TROUBLESHOOTING
The instrument does not switch on.
-
Check that the external power supply is connected to the instrument and the power cable is properly
plugged in the socket.

Make sure that the power socket is working.

Make sure that the fuse inside the [MAINS AC-IN] socket of the rear panel is not damaged. If broken,
replace it with one with the same values (T 2A L 250 / VAC).
In some models, the fuse in the [MAINS AC-IN] socket is not present.
The instrument makes no sound.

Check that the [VOLUME] potentiometer on the upper manual side panel is not turned to the left.

Check that the expression pedal, connected to the [EXP] connector on the rear panel in
Legend
and
Legend Classic
, is not set to minimum (fully raised).

Check that at least one of the drawbars related to the manual you are currently playing is pulled out.

Check that the Cancel function is not enabled on the manual you are currently playing (see par. 6.10).

Check that no jack is connected to the [FX RETURN] port on the rear panel, unless a jack is also
connected to the [FX SEND] port.
The sound is distorted or you hear noise from the speakers.

Decrease the volume.

The distortion effect has been activated through the [DRIVE] potentiometer on the side panel of the upper
manual. If you do not want to apply a distortion, turn the potentiometer to the far left.
The reverb effect is not present in the [ROTARY SPEAKER] output.

Set the PRE mode of the Reverb effect (see section 5.2).
The instrument is not in tune with the others.

Adjust the pitch with the [TUNING] trimmer on the side panel of the upper manual.
The expression pedal has no effect.

Verify that the pedal cable is correctly connected to the [EXP] connector on the rear panel and that it is not
damaged.
The switch pedal(s) have no effect.

If you want to control Rotary speed check that the cable is properly connected to the [ROTARY] port.

If you want to use the Hold function (Sustain) check that the pedal cable is connected to the [HOLD]
