The HDMI FatCats have arrived and Key Digital is providing
the industry’s best answer to sending digital video and
audio signals over CAT5.
What makes the digital FatCATs better? Digital video signals
require greater bandwidth as the resolution increases. To be able
to send these signals through CAT5, products need to be smart
and fast. The digital FatCATs are smart because they have a
digital engineering “DNA” created by Mike Tsinberg, an inventor
and great innovator in HDTV. Mike’s design allows the FatCATs
to be faster, featuring greater bandwidth and the ability to send
higher resolution video signals longer distances. The wall plate
versions of this line also include a separate coaxial input and
output that allow for separate PCM digital audio signals to be
sent through the CAT5 wiring.
