5 Safety
5.1 Principles
The CLIMBER slat lifter attachment complies with the current state-of-the-art in safety technology.
Despite this, certain residual risks still remain if this operation and assembly manual is not observed.
Please therefore understand that the manufacturer can accept no liability or warranty whatsoever for
damages and consequential damages resulting from non-observance of the operation and assembly
manual.
5.2 Safety information
Only a qualified expert may install the CLIMBER slat lifter attachment, and initial start-up may
only be carried out in accordance with the operating manual.
The device may only be connected to an electricity network whose voltage, current type and
frequency match the information contained in the technical data on page 12.
The power socket must be freely accessible.
You must ensure that no moisture can penetrate the motor and the drive unit.
Before carrying out any repairs or maintenance work, switch off the power socket to which the
CLIMBER slat lifter attachment motor unit is connected, or remove the mains plug.
Only clean the drive unit, the motor unit cover and the sensor field using a slightly moist cloth,
since penetrating moisture and aggressive cleansing agents can damage the electronics in
the motor unit and the sensor field.
Never reach inside the lever area during opening or closing movements.
Only one slat lifter may be connected to each distribution cable.
This equipment may not be used by persons (including children) with restricted physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or used without experience and/or without knowledge.
Danger to life caused by electric shock
Never open the motor housing. NEVER cut the mains plug connected to the mains
included in delivery off, and DO NOT replace it with a different one. Danger to life
caused by electric shock!

Injury hazard in lever area!
Never reach inside the lever area during opening or closing movements. There is a
risk of injury!
