If electro-magnetic fields or static charge occur, or if the power supply is unstable
major deviations on the display (incorrect weighing results) are possible. In that case,
the location must be changed.
5.2 Unpacking
Take the whole balance out of their packaging and place them at the intended
position.
In addition to the balance, delivery also includes the operating instructions and a
battery.
5.3 Battery operation (insertion and removal)
To insert your battery, open the battery compartment at the rear of the balance (by
unscrewing the cover with the help of a coin) and insert a 3V lithium battery (
CR2032 ) in the correct direction of the pole, then close the battery compartment.
(Put on cover and turn it in reverse direction of the arrow until the cover locks)
If the balance is not used for a longer time, take out the batteries and store them
separately. Leaking battery liquid could damage the balance.
In as-delivered condition a paper strip is inserted under the battery contact in order to
prevent switching on during transport. You will have to remove this strip before initial
use by removing the inserted battery.
6 Using the balance
You can change the balance’ weighing unit from
“kg“
to
“lb“
at the rear of the
balance.
To turn on the balance, tap the glass plate briefly with your foot.
The display briefly shows "
- - - -
" several times, followed by
0.0 kg
and
0.0 lb
respectively.
The weighing process requires that the person stands on the weighing plate in a way
that provides even weight distribution over the entire weighing plate.
„ - - - - “
flashes several times on the display.
After reaching a stable weighing value, the latter will be displayed and can be read.
After determining the weighing value, the latter will be visible on the display for
another 6 seconds before the balance switch off automatically.
Notice:
The typical weight of a person will vary over the day, and equally from one
day to the next. Minor weight variations are considered normal.
