5. O P E R A T I O N
The V T - 1 7 3 has three range setting modes ; A u t o , Hold
and Remote (option). W i t h these modes, the V T - 1 7 3
provides a wide applications.
[How to Use Auto Mode]
(1) B y pressing the O N / O F F s w i t c h ® , the R A N G E
indicator lamps © go on sequentially f r o m 300V
range indicator. The 1mV indicator goes on f i n a l l y .
(2) When signal is input to the I N P U T connector ® ,
the V T - 1 7 3 a u t o m a t i c a l l y selects the measurement
range where the meter pointer indicates a value
f r o m 27% to 102% of the f u l l scale ( s t a n d a r d
value ) .
(3) If the level of the input signal corresponds to a
value f r o m 85% to 102% of the f u l l scale (standard
v a l u e ) , a 1 level higher range may be selected to
indicate the v o l t a g e w i t h i n 27% to 32% ( s t a n d a r d
v a l u e ) . In such a case, the s e n s i t i v i t y can be
increased by 1 range w i t h the D O W N s w i t c h @ to
indicate the voltage w i t h i n 85% to 102% ( s t a n d a r d
v a l u e ) .
Note: The " f u l l scale" denotes the division 10 on
the
scalr"
