3.  Check the spark gap between 

the electrode and pilot (should be 

4-5mm). Adjust if necessary

Pilot lights but will not stay lit

1.  The thermoelectric flame failure 

device has not engaged

1.  Hold down the knob firmly for 10-

20 seconds after the pilot ignites
