Note: when the heater is newly con-
nected it may take 2-3 attempts to
ignite the heater
1. Cylinder gas valve is closed
2. Insufficient LP gas
3. Insufficient spark to light the pilot
1. Open Cylinder gas valve
2. Refill cylinder
3. Check the spark gap between
the electrode and pilot (should be
4-5mm). Adjust if necessary
Pilot lights but will not stay lit
1. The thermoelectric flame failure
device has not engaged
1. Hold down the knob firmly for 10-
20 seconds after the pilot ignites
Pilot is large and a yellow/orange
colour
1. The heater requires a service

Burners are not lighting properly
