For optimal ironing performance, the
iron should be replaced on the stand for
heating up to the set temperature. As
soon as the soleplate has reached the
set temperature, the thermostat light will
go off.
The soleplate will cool down after
cordless ironing for a considerable
amount of time. Use the cord for lengthy
periods of ironing.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
CORDED IRONING
Place iron on stand.
Set the 3-position switch to “Cord”
position.
The power unit is now attached to the
iron.
CORDLESS IRONING
EMPTYING THE IRON
1. Always empty iron after each use.
2. When finished using the iron, turn
the variable steam control to “0” and
the temperature control dial to “MIN”.
3. Unplug the iron from the electrical
outlet.
WARNING!
Use caution when
emptying the iron. Burns may occur
from touching hot metal surfaces,
hot water or steam.
Place iron on stand.
Set the 3-position switch to “Cordless”
position.
Always place iron on stand when not in
use.

The Kenmore Cord/Cordless is equipped
with an electronic auto shut-off. The
electronic auto-off switches the iron off if it
has been standing unmoved for
approximately 8 minutes. A red light will
flash when the iron switches itself off. To
switch the iron back on, just shake the
iron side-to-side several times.

REGULADOR DE VAPOR
Para seleccionar planchado en
seco, deslice la palanca hacia
abajo. Para planchado con vapor,
deslice gradualmente la palanca
hacia arriba a fin de aumentar la
cantidad de vapor.

CORDÓN DE PIVOTE
Permite que la plancha se use
con la mano derecha o la
izquierda. Gira hacia arriba y
hacia abajo e impide que la tela
se enrede con el cordón. El
protector flexible evita que el
cordón se desgaste.
