WATER FILTER
NOTE
: This refrigerator does not require a
fi
lter bypass
plug when the
fi
lter is not in place.
It is recommended that you replace the water
fi
lter:
Approximately every six months.
•
When the water
fi
lter indicator turns on.
•
When the water dispenser output decreases.
•
When the ice cubes are smaller than normal.
•
2. Replace with a new water
fi
lter.
Insert the new
fi
lter into the
fi
lter head and rotate it
•
clockwise until the arrow on the new
fi
lter lines up with
the arrow on the
fi
lter head. Swing the
fi
lter back into
the compartment.
Assemble the door bin.

After the water
fi
lter is replaced, dispense 2.5
gallons of water (
fl
ush for approximately 5 minutes)
to remove trapped air and contaminants from
the system. Do not dispense the entire 2.5 gallon
amount continuously. Depress and release the
dispenser pad for cycles of 30 seconds ON and 60
seconds OFF.
4.
Press and hold the Water Filter button for 3 seconds
to reset the indicator.
CAUTION:
Operating the refrigerator with a water
fi
lter is recommended. However, no bypass
fi
lter plug
is necessary if there is no water
fi
lter installed.

. Remove the old water
fi
lter.
Lift up and remove the lower door bin. Swing

the right end of the water
fi
lter out of the
compartment and then grasp and rotate the
fi
lter
counterclockwise to remove it from the
fi
lter head.
NOTE:
Replacing the water
fi
lter could cause a
small amount of water to drain. Place a cup
under the
fi
lter head to catch any water.
