Basic Operations

Using Touch Panel

The product's display is a touch panel; operate with your fingers on 

the display.

 

The touch panel may not respond or may malfunction in the 

following cases.

 

Operation with gloved hands

 

Operation with fingernails

 

Operation with a foreign object left on the touch panel

 

Operation with a protective film or sticker on the touch panel

 

Operation with water drops or condensation on the touch panel

 

Operation with wet or sweaty fingers

 

Operation under water

 

Tap/Double-tap

Tap: Touch the screen lightly and briefly. 

Double-tap: Tap the same position twice 

quickly on the screen.

 

Select an item or icon displayed on the 

screen. Double-tap on a still picture, etc. to 

enlarge/reduce it.

 

Touch and Hold

Keep touching an item, etc.

 

Available menu appears depending on the 

item.

 

Slide/Swipe/Drag

Slide: Place your finger on the screen and 

move your finger in the desired direction. 

Swipe: Quickly slide a finger for a short 

distance. 

Drag: Touch an item on the screen and slide 

your finger across the screen.

 

Slide/swipe: Scroll the screen or toggle 

pages. Operate the volume bar and 

brightness bar for adjustment.

 

Drag: Move an item or icon to the desired 

position.

 

Flick

Quickly brush the screen up/down or left/

right.

 

Toggle pages, enter characters using flick 

input, etc.

 

Pinch

Touch the screen with two fingers and move 

them away from each other (pinch out) or 

toward each other (pinch in).

 

Enlarge/reduce a web page, etc.

Using Touch Keys

The following icons appear at the bottom of the screen; use them as 

touch keys.

Open the recent apps screen.

Using the Home Screen

Home Screen

Most operations start from the "Home screen" or "Apps List screen", 

which lists apps. Main operations are done on the Home screen. On 

the Home screen, main applications and "Rakutomo Link", by which 

you can make a call or send an E-mail to registered contacts easily, 

are displayed.

Tap "Apps list" on the Home screen to display the Apps List screen.

Tap "Back" on the Apps List screen to return to the Home screen.

You can use Google™ search or Google Lens™.

Widget

The weather widget displays comments, as well as date, time, 

and weather.

Rakutomo Link

Register contacts you use frequently or those you use in trouble to 

call them quickly.

Apps List

Display the Apps List screen.

Folder

Tap the folder 

 Tap the folder name to change the folder name. If 

you have not specified the folder name, tap "Edit Name" to specify 

it.

If the indicator appears when tapping the folder, flick left or right to 

switch the page.

Touch key

Return to the previous screen or open the recent apps screen.

Using Topic Screen

Slide up the Home screen to display the topic screen. The topic 

screen is a service which enables you to check optimum information 

based on your au ID information.

 

When you start it for the first time, tap [
