The maximum data length of a Modbus transmission is 256 bytes. This results in a user
data length of 253 bytes.
The number of data bits and stop bits is defined in the Modbus definition. Baud rates of
less than 4800 baud are possible by definition, but not implemented at present. The inter-
face parameters can only be configured on the device (not via bus).
14.4 Device settings
The settings are read with the 0x04 command (read input registers) as shown in Table 1.
Writing is not possible at present.
