CHANNEL EQUIPPING
When a channel is connected to the DSI/DALI con-
verter,
all DSI electronic ballasts on that channel
have to be replaced with DALI electronic ballasts.
Mixed equipping is not possible!

ECONOMICAL APPROACH
Equipping all channels with DALI
electronic ballasts is very costly and
time-consuming. However, a complete
replacement is not necessary as a rule.
KBL recommends the following approach:
Replacing the electronic ballasts in the
bed/bench takes the least amount of
work.
It is therefore recommended to connect
the converter to the channel “Bed/Bench
2”, for example, replace all of the old
electronic ballasts on this channel with
new DALI electronic ballasts, and use the
working old electronic ballasts to replace
defective old electronic ballasts on the
other channels.
EQUIPMENT GROUP EXAMPLE
These instructions describe the connection of the
DSI/DALI converter using the following tanning
device group as an example:
• 6808/7908 UV devices (without P2 tubes).
The connection for all other tanning devices is similar
to the procedure described here.
Always consult the appropriate circuit
diagram for the ballast/tube assignment!
CHANNELS
All KBL bed/bench devices generally have four (4)
channels for the control connection of the electronic
ballasts.
Channel assignment:
1 -> Bed/Bench
2 -> Bed/Bench
3 -> Canopy & back wall
4 -> Canopy & back wall
