CAUTION

• 

Oil trap
If the indoor unit is installed higher than the 

outdoor unit:
- If the oil returns to the outdoor unit 

compressor, this may result in liquid compression 

or deterioration of oil return. Which can be 

prevented by the oil trap in rising gas pipe.
One trap should be installed every 10m of vertical 

suction piping.

CAUTION

If the outdoor unit is installed higher than the 

indoor unit:
- It is recommended that you do not extend 

the vertical suction. Proper oil return to the 

compressor must be maintained with the speed of 

the suction gas. If the speed is less than 7.62m/s, 

the oil return will be reduced. One trap should be 

installed every 6m of vertical suction piping.
