INTRODUCTION
The Fuel Pump with Battery has been designed for model engine fuel use. It is suitable for petrol (gasoline) mixed with synthetic lub-
ricants for petrol engines as well as methyl alcohol mixed with castor or synthetic oil and nitromethane (“Nitro“ fuel) for glow engines.

USING THE PUMP
1. Please charge the battery before use.
2. Connect the supplied micro USB charging cable to the charge socket on your pump; the other end is to be connected to 5V/1A USB
wall charger or PC USB port. The indicator LED will light up. When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator goes off; please dis-
connect the charging cable. If the LED indicator starts flashing it means the battery is old and needs replacement. Please contact your
KAVAN distributor to change the internal battery.
3. Choose proper tubing according to the fuel used - never use silicone tubing for petrol (gasoline)! Connect the tubing (needs to be
purchased separately) to the input and output nipples.
4. Please connect a fuel filter at the fuel container (input) side. Pump life will be shortened and performance reduced if dirt is sucked
into the pump.
5. Use the ON/OFF switch to fill or drain fuel. Centre position of the switch is OFF, both up and down position is ON (up position: continu-
ous operation; down position: momentary operation).
CAUTION
• Charge prior use.
• Do not operate more than 5 seconds without fuel.
• Always use a filter on the fuel container side.
• Do not modify or disassemble the pump.
• Do not use the pump for aggressive/corrosive liquids.
• Do not immerse the pump in water or other liquid.
