As long as you want to watch encrypted channels, the module with the smartcard must be
correctly inserted in the Common Interface slot.
Prior to changing to the standby mode or switching off the receiver at the power switch on
the rear of the receiver, the module can be left with or without the smartcard in the Common
Interface slot.
To remove the module from the Common Interface slot, open the fl ap and press the button on the right
side of the Common Interface slot. You can now remove the CI module with the smartcard fi tted.
