Mains voltage
Important!
Power the unit only from a 12 V DC voltage source, and via the
230/12 V adapter provided.
It must only be connected to the mains power and switched on once
the connections to the antenna and the TV set have been made.
Long periods of absence / storms
Note!
Always turn off the unit at the mains switch if you will be absent for a
long time or there is a storm. This also applies to the other equipment
connected to the receiver.
If the timer has been preset to record at a certain time, remember to
turn the unit on again in time for the recording.
Important points on the installation location and on installing
the unit
Installation location
Note!
All electronic equipment generates heat, though the amount of heat
generated is not dangerous. Sensitive furniture surfaces and veneers
may easily become discoloured by the effects of constant heat over
time. The feet of the unit can also cause colour changes to treated
furniture surfaces. Never place the unit on an unsuitable surface.
Ventilation
Note!
The heat generated in this unit is adequately dissipated. However, the
receiver should never be installed in a cupboard or on shelves with
inadequate ventilation. Never cover over the unit's ventilation slots.
Do not place any objects on top of the unit and maintain a clearance
of at least 10 cm above the unit, so that the heat generated can be
dissipated with no obstructions.
Damp, sunlight, heat
Note!
The unit should be protected from damp, dripping water and
splashing.
Do not place the receiver close to heaters, and do not expose it to
direct sunlight.
Important!
To update the internal software only a zero-modem cable must be
used. If an unsuitable standard cable is used, the receiver may be
damaged.
