5. Operation

– The appliance must not be left unatten-

ded during operation.

– Ensure that the appliance is situated

on firm ground.

– Provide adequate ventilation when

operating the appliance in rooms
(danger of poisoning).

– The appliance must not be installed in

damp rooms or in rooms with an
aggressive atmosphere.

– The water jet emerging from the high-

pressure nozzle causes the gun to
recoil. An angular spray lance will also
cause a torque. Therefore, grip the
spray lance and gun firmly.

– Never direct the water jet at people,

animals, the appliance or electrical
components.

– The high-pressure cleaner must not

be operated by children (danger of
accidents caused by improper use of
the appliance).

– Vehicle tyres/tyre valves may only be

cleaned  at a minimum distance of 30
cm. Otherwise the vehicle tyres/tyre
valve may be damaged by the high-
pressure jet. The first indication of
damage is discolouration of the tyre.
Damaged vehicle tyres can be highly
dangerous.

– Materials containing asbestos and

other substances which are detrimental
to health must not be sprayed down.

– Suitable protective clothing should be

worn to protect the operator from back-
spray.

– Always ensure that all connecting

hoses are securely screwed on.

– The gun trigger must not be clamped

when operating the appliance.

– The exhaust opening must not be

blocked.

– Do not bend over or touch the inside of

the exhaust opening when operating
with hot water/steam (danger of burns).

5.1

Venting the appliance

•••••

Open the water intake.

•••••

Allow the appliance to run without the high-
pressure hose until the water emerges without
bubbles.

Then connect the high-pressure hose.

If the spray lance and high-pressure nozzle
have already been fitted to the high-pressure
hose, you can vent the appliance as follows:
With the hand-held spray gun open, switch
the appliance on and off several times at
intervals of 10 seconds until the water emerges
from the high-pressure hose without bubbles.

5.2

High-pressure nozzle

•••••

The effectiveness of the high-pressure jet
depends to a great extent on the spray angle.
A 20 degrees fan jet nozzle is usually employed
(included in standard delivery).

•••••

Other nozzles are available as accessories.

0° full jet nozzle

for stubborn dirt.

40° fan jet nozzle

for sensitive surfaces.

Dirt blaster

for thick layers of dirt.

Variable angle nozzle

with adjustable spray angle

At first always direct the high-pressure jet
from a greater distance at the object which is
to be cleaned, thereby preventing damage
from excessive pressure.
