4. Design features
A. General
The KANNAD 406 AP belongs to the AP type of ELTs which are intended to be
rigdly attached to the aircraft before the crash, but readily removable from the
aircraft after a crash.
B. Mechanical design
The KANNAD 406 AP is made of moulded plastic with excellent mechanical
resistance (ASA/PC, light yellow colour).
The housing is designed with no sharp edges.
