Major components of the air brake system include the following

Trailer Brake Air Lines

Within the system are two separate air distribution circuits.
These operate the rear (primary) and front (secondary) founda-
tion brakes. Air flow within the two circuits is controlled through
a series of valves which supply or release air to the chambers
in response to the driver’s command. The parking brakes are
spring-actuated, but compressed air is required to release
them.

A buzzer and an indicator light warn of low pressure in the sys-
tem when pressure falls below 70 psi. The air pressure gauge
reflects the actual system pressure.
