end of the cord and tighten the strap.
Operating the Distance Meter

Once the batteries have been installed, the device is ready for use.
•
When using the device, secure it to prevent dropping by placing
your hand through the hand strap.
•
Clasp the Distance Meter so that the back rests in the palm of
your hand and you are able to operate the keypad [E] with your
thumb. The Distance Meter can be operated with either the right
or left hand.

Employ the device only for its intended use!

Before using, check the device for possible damage.
Do not use it if the safety is in doubt.
Signal tones
A brief signal tone confirms every time a button is pushed or a
function is carried out without error. An extended signal tone will
only sound in the event of a fault and when shutting the meter
down.

Switching the meter on and off

Laser [B] is activated, meter is ready for measuring.

The laser switches off automatically after 30 s.

The meter switches off automatically after 180 s.
Illumination of the display
>1 s Switch the back lighting on or off to ensure better
readout of the display [D].
Selecting the unit of length
>2 s Switching units
The unit of length after switching the meter on
corresponds to the last unit used.
