Fig. 29 Draining condensate

Condensate drain tap
➤ Drain the condensate out daily.
With ECO-DRAIN (Option K5/K6) condensate drain and condensate drain via solenoid valve
(Option K7), the condensate is drained automatically.
Drain the condensate into a suitable receptacle and dispose of it according to applicable envi‐
ronmental regulations.
10.13 Venting the machine (de-pressurising)
After being switched off, the machine is still under pressure from the air network up to the check valve.
The machine must be isolated from the air network and completely vented before undertaking
any maintenance or service work on the pressure system.
If no shut-off valve is provided by the user, the whole of the compressed air network must be
vented.
Generally, the machine can be vented by means of the shut-off valve on the condensate outlet or the
pressure relief valve on the air receiver.
Normally, the machine is vented by the condensate outlet. If this is prevented by the presence of a
condensate drain unit, then the pressure relief valve must be used.
Precondition The supply disconnecting device is switched off,
the device is locked off,
the absence of voltage has been verified.
The machine has cooled down.
DANGER
Compressed air!
➤ Compressed air and devices under pressure can injure or cause death if the contained energy
is released suddenly.
➤ Close shut-off valves or otherwise isolate the machine from the compressed air network to en‐
sure that no compressed air can flow back into the machine.
