KCM

A specially designed controller mounting is available to improve the
cleaning capacity for hygienic applications. In this mounting, the cable
connections and sealing plugs of eight drill holes in the controller
housing are removed and the controller is fixed to the cable channel
with a clamping plate. The cables are directly slotted through four drill
holes (1) from the cable channel to the controller and the connection
is sealed with an O-ring (2). This means that the cable channel and
the ATEX controller form a single unit and may be regarded as part of
the housing. Thus the same regulations apply to both the cable
channel and the controller. In addition, care must be taken that only
ATEX-compatible cable connections are used for the cable channel.

The shields of the cables are be fastened with cable lugs and screws
on the clamping plate.
