cleaned and the mains plug must be re
moved from the socket.
If there is risk of frost, all residual wa
ter must be removed, see the section
on "Evaporating the residual water" on
page 45.
The mains voltage must match the speci
fications on the nameplate. Only connect
the machine to a grounded wall socket.
In the case of incorrect connection your
warranty rights may be forfeited.
Do not damage the mains cord by plac
ing it on or near hot objects or over
sharp edges. Do not allow the mains cord
to hang down (risk of tripping). Do not
touch the mains cord with wet hands. Do
not remove the plug from the socket by
pulling on the cable. If the mains cord
shows signs of damage, do not start the
machine.
If the mains cable of the machine is dam
aged, it must be replaced by the manu
facturer, his company customer service
or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid any hazards.
Do not place the machine on a hot sur
face (e.g. cooker) or operate it next to
heat sources or fires. Do not allow the
machine to stand on its mains cable.
Always place the machine on a stable,
flat and waterrepellent surface.
For health reasons, only fill the water
tank with fresh drinking water.
How to avoid injuries and scalds when
using the machine.
Do not leave the machine unattended
during beverage preparation.
This machine may be used by children
from the age of 8 years and older and
by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or who lack
experience and knowledge in handling
the machine, provided they are super
vised or have been instructed regarding
the safe operation of the machine, and
understand the resulting dangers.
