Drilling Holes in the Ice
IMPORTANT - Get to your fishing spot, THEN remove
the protective blade cover.
1) Ensure your K-Drill is properly aligned and fully
tightened into your drill chuck, and that it is set to
Drill Mode and in LOW Gear.
2) Set the Center Blade on the ice where you want to
drill the hole.
3) Ensure the drill is pointing straight down.
4) Hold the drill handle and side-arm firmly and pull the
trigger fully. Use minimal downward pressure and
guide the drill through the ice.
IMPORTANT - If the ice is 8” thick or more, periodically
clear the hole of slush by either pulling the auger fully
out of the hole while running and spinning the ice clear.
If within a shelter, once you break through the ice, switch
the drill to reverse and carefully blow the ice down-
wards.
Too much slush in the hole can cause the K-Drill to bind
and possibly get stuck in the ice hole.
5) Drill additional holes as needed, THEN put the Blade
Protector back onto the auger.
WARNING - Keep all body parts and loose
clothing clear of the drilling assembly. Keep
children clear of the area and be aware of the
environment around you.
