OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
To Turn the Alert ON / OFF
1.
To turn the alert on and off, press and hold the
ALERT ON / OFF
button for
five (5) seconds in power off state until “ALERT ON” blinks on the screen.
2. Press
the
UP
"
" or
DOWN
"
" buttons to switch between “ALERTON” and
“ALERTOFF”.
3. Press
the
SELECT
button to save your selection.
Setting the Alert Volume
1.
To set the alert volume, press the
MENU
button.
2. Press
the
UP
"
" or
DOWN
"
" button until “SIREN LEVEL” is displayed.
3. Press
the
SELECT
button and “HIGH” or “LOW” will start blinking.
4.
Then press the
UP
"
" or
DOWN
"
" buttons to choose “HIGH” or “LOW”
volume.
5. Press
the
SELECT
button to save your setting.
Selectable Alert Option
The receiver can be programmed to only sound the voice or siren alert for select
weather emergency messages. Those messages unimportant to you can be
programmed to only display a message, minimizing annoyance.
To program the emergency messages you want to silence, follow these steps:
a. Press
the
MENU
button to open menu options.
b. Press
the
UP
"
" or
DOWN
"
" button until “DEFEAT—SIREN”
displays and press the
SELECT
button to confirm.
c. Using
the
UP
"
" or
DOWN
"
" buttons, scroll through the different
alerts you want to silence.
d.
After making your selection, press the
RIGHT
“
>
”
button to change the
status of the event from “ENABLE” to “DISABLE”.
e. Press
the
MENU
button to confirm your selection and exit the
programming option.
Testing the Alert
1.
To test the alert function to ensure it is working, press the
MENU
button.
2. Press
the
UP
"
" or
DOWN
"
" buttons until “SIREN—TEST” is
displayed on the screen.
3. Press
the
SELECT
button to sound the alert siren.
4. Press
the
SELECT
button again to silence the alarm.
