Setting the Clock

(To be performed when the unit is to be used for the first time)

Example: Setting the time to 1:15 PM (while the

power is switched to STANDBY).

This unit uses a 12-hour clock to indicate the time.

1

Press the CLOCK/TIMER button.

The time display is illuminated, and the “hour” indicators starts
flashing.

2

Turn the MULTI JOG dial to change the hour
display to “PM 1”, and then press the SET
button.

The hour display stops flashing, and the minute display starts to
flash.

3

Turn the MULTI JOG dial to change the minute
display to “15”, and then press the SET button.

The current time “1:15” is displayed and the display window
darkens.

If you made a mistake in entering the current time, repeat this
procedure from the beginning.

If the CANCEL button is pressed while setting the “minute”
display, the flashing “hour” display is restored. This function
comes in handy for correcting the “hour” display.

To ascertain the correct time

In most areas, there is a telephone number you can call for the cor-
rect time, consult your telephone directory for assiastance.

To change or adjust the time display

It is possible to change the time even after it has been set. Press the
CLOCK/TIMER button repeatedly to select the time display, and
set the time as described in the procedure on this page. The time
can be adjusted even when the unit is in standby.

Regarding the time display

The time display for Canada and USA models uses a 12-hour
clock.

Models for other countries use a 24-hour clock.

The illustrations in this Instruction Manual show the Canada and
USA model. For users of other models,  please note that “AM” and
“PM” indications will not be displayed as shown in this manual.
Please refer to the illustrations below for differences in the two
time display types.

The time display cannot be switched between the 12-hour and
24-hour clock display.
