4 Permanent settings in programming mode
In the program item ‘Machine settings (3/5)’ / ‘Save energy’ you can
permanently set an energy-saving mode (Energy Save Mode,

U
All specialty coffees, specialty coffees with milk and hot water
can be prepared without having to wait.

‘Save Level 1’
U
Your GIGA is only constantly ready for use for specialty cof-
fees and hot water.

Before you can prepare a specialty coffee with milk, the
machine must heat up.
U
‘Save Level 2’
U
Soon after the last preparation, the GIGA stops heating up.
After about 5 minutes the message
‘Energy Save’ is displayed.

Before you can prepare a specialty coffee, specialty coffee
with milk, or hot water, the machine must heat up.
Example: Proceed as follows to change the energy-saving mode
from ‘Save Level 1’ to ‘Save Level 2’ .
Precondition:
‘Please select product:’ is displayed.
O T Press the P button.
‘Maintenance status (1/5)’
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until the program item ‘Machine set-
tings (3/5)’ is displayed.
T Press the ‘Save energy’ button.
‘Save energy’
T Press the ‘Save Level 2’ button.
T Press the ‘Save’ button.
‘Saved’ appears briefly on the display.
‘Machine settings (3/5)’

Press the P button to exit programming mode.
‘Please select product:’
You already set the time and date during first-time use. You can
change this setting.

For the time format, you can choose between ‘24 hrs’ and
‘AM / PM’ (see Chapter 4 ‘Permanent settings in programming
mode – Units’).
