About this Document 

This document contains release notes for the Telchemy TePM Controller Release 1.3 for use with 
the TePM Agent Release 2.0 or later for the Juniper

®

 M Series and MX Series Routers.  The 

release notes are structured as follows:

New Features 

The TePM Controller Release 1.3 is the first release of the TePM Controller for use with the 
TePM Agent running on Juniper M and MX series routers running Junos

 

OS Release 10.0.  The 

TePM Controller includes the ability to define a variety of test types, schedule the tests to execute 
between two TePM Agents or between a TePM Agent and a target network device/server, and 
analyze the test results.  The TePM Controller currently supports the following test types: 

 

VoIP (SIP signaling) 

 

Ping (ICMP Echo) 

 

Path diagnostics 

 

Trace route 

 

DNS 

 

DHCP 

 

HTTP 

 

POP3 

 

SMTP 

The TePM Controller also provides functionality for assigning TePM Agents licenses and logging 
agent/test status information. 

All of the data collected by the TePM Controller is stored in a SQL database for trend analysis 
and troubleshooting purposes. 

 

Changes in Default Behavior 

The TePM Controller Release 1.3 is the first release of the TePM Controller.  No change in 
default behavior is present.
