9 - ADJUSTMENTS
9.1 -Adjustment of the Amount of Seeds
In the following the indicative chart will be presented for distribution of
seeds.
The values are calculated and they are subject to variations, due the
factors of sliding of the driving wheel, soil conditions, index of germination of
the seed and speed in the planting operation,
In the chart the amount of seeds is presented by lineal meter, regarding
the use of each disc, changing the relation of transmission through of the
drive and driven gears.
Before beginning the planting, you should make a verification of the
acting of the disc relatively to the used seed. The machine leaves the factory
equipped with the most appropriate disc, but eventually it can have necessity
to change the disc. To do this verification, start the PTO and go accelerating
the motor until getting the speed of 540 rpm in PTO, in order to establish
vacuous in the distribution boxes, go forward a certain space in meters and
verify if the distributed amount of seeds are according to the adjustment
made. In this operation it should be made the verification through the visor in
the distributor, in case there are flaws (empty holes) or double it proceeds
how it proceeds:
- if there are 2 or more seeds by hole, you should position the lever of
the selector to the - (negative) side. (Fig031);
if there are flaws, you should position the lever of the selector for the
+ (positive) side. (Fig032).
Will be an ideal point, where the disc will rotate with just one seed per
hole. There, it should regulate all the boxes in the same position, but it
should be certified when the machine is working through the visors, if doubles/
triples or flaws are existed, should proceed to the correction of the selectors.
