OPERATION
Inserting the batteries
1.
Undo the sleeve by turning it anti-clockwise. Lift off the sleeve.
2.
Insert 4 AA batteries. Make sure that the batteries are installed with the correct polarity in the
battery compartment.
3.
If you removed the battery/motor section from the holder when you inserted the batteries, you must
align the battery/motor section’s connectors with the contacts in the holder. This must be done in
order for the lighting to work.
4.
Place the sleeve on the battery/motor section and turn it clockwise to secure the parts to each
other.
Fill with salt/pepper
1.
Remove the sleeve and the battery/motor section from the holder in order to fill with salt/pepper.
2.
Fill with salt/pepper. Only fill the holder to 80%. The mill will then work optimally.
3.
Align the battery/motor section’s connectors with the contacts in the holder.
4.
Place the sleeve on the battery/motor section and turn it clockwise to secure the parts to each
other.
Grind adjustment
The grinding level is adjusted by turning the knob on the bottom of the mill. Turn clockwise for finer
grinding and anti-clockwise for coarser grinding.
Use
Hold down the switch on the top of the mill to grind. Stop grinding by releasing the switch.
If the mill stops during grinding, this may be because a peppercorn has become caught in the grinding
mechanism. Shake the mill gently to loosen the peppercorn.
MAINTENANCE
Wipe the mill with a soft, damp cloth. The mill must not be rinsed or immersed in water. Keep the mill dry
when not in use.
