Routing the wires
The floodlight must be connected to a 220-240V ~ 50Hz power supply. The power cord must be a round,
H05RR-F, rubber-insulated cable with a total diameter of at least 8 mm, and at least 1.5 mm for each
wire.
28. Unscrew the screws for the junction box at
the back of the light and remove the lid.
Push the power cord through the opening
underneath the unit.
29. Connect the light to the mains via the
terminal block. Connect the live wire
(brown) in the power cord to the terminal
opposite the internal brown wire in the lamp
and the power cord’s neutral wire (blue) to
the terminal with the blue and the white
wire. Connect the earth wire in the power
cord (see earth symbol in figure) to the
terminal opposite the internal green/yellow
wire.
30. Place the cord clamp over the incoming
cord (including insulation) and tighten with
the supplied screws. Fit the cover plate and
tighten with the supplied screws.
31. Tighten the barrel nut and check that the
cord inlet is sealed from moisture. Use
extra sealant if necessary. The cord must
be bent in a U-shape outside the cord inlet.
32. Unscrew the screw(s) for the front glass
and open the hinged glass. Screw tight the
halogen tube in the spring-loaded clamp
without touching the surface of the tube. If
the surface is touched by mistake, carefully
clean the surface with denatured alcohol
and polish with a dry cloth before switching
the floodlight on. Check that the spring-
loaded terminals make good contact with
the socket. Close the front glass, check that
the seals are correctly positioned, and
tighten the screw(s).
33.
Adjust the floodlight to the required position
and tighten the screws on the side of the
bracket.
