SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before using the product!
1.
This cable winder must only be installed and serviced by an authorised service technician. Do not
allow children or other unauthorised persons to use the cable winder.
2.
Check that the mains supply does not exceed the maximum rated voltage for the cable winder.
3.
Check that the cable winder is correctly installed before connecting it to the mains supply.
4.
Check that the mains supply is disconnected before carrying out any form of service.
5.
Check the equipment each time before using it, to ensure that no cables are damaged or pinched.
6.
When pulling the electric cable out from the cable winder, always hold the actual cable, not the
accessory.
7.
Immediately unplug the cable winder from the mains power supply if a fault occurs.
8.
Do not dismantle, modify or disconnect the safety devices installed by the manufacturer.
9.
Do not use the cable winder in damp or wet areas. Keep the work area clean. Make sure that no
foreign objects get into the cable winder.
10. Read the Operating Instructions carefully and do not use the cable winder until you know how to
stop it in an emergency. All other use of the cable winder can damage the product and result in
serious personal injury. Keep these Operating Instructions in a safe place for future reference.
INSTALLATION
1.
The cable winder must be installed in accordance with current standards and regulations
concerning electrical systems and health and safety rules.
2.
Fit the cable winder to the wall or ceiling. Use anchor bolts or other suitable attachments in the
predrilled holes on the brackets.
3.
If necessary, adjust the cable stop to a suitable position.
OPERATION
1.
Pull the cable out slowly to check that the cable winder functions correctly. You should hear a
clicking noise for every half turn the cable drum rotates.
2.
Lock the cable winder by pulling out the cable and releasing it after the first, second or third click.
3.
Release the cable winder by slowly pulling out the cable until the clicking stops. Then allow the
cable to return until the cable stop rests against the cable guide.
Note!
To avoid damage to the cable winder, always hold the cable as it is being reeled up.
MAINTENANCE
•
Regularly check that the cable winder is in good working condition and that the insulation is not
damaged. This is to minimise the risk of accident or injury.
•
Clean the cable with a cloth dipped in hot water to remove dirt and deposits. Check also that the
cable reels in properly.
•
Do not use solvents or strong detergents to clean the cable winder. These substances can damage
certain materials in the cable winder.
•
Contact your dealer or an authorised service centre for any service on electrical or mechanical
parts, or if the cable needs replacing.
•
It can be dangerous for unauthorised persons to dismantle the cable winder. It contains spring-
loaded mechanisms that can cause personal injury if the cable winder is handled incorrectly.
