Safety instructions for the tool
Check every time before using the tool that the battery is properly inserted.
Do not apply excessive pressure to the tool so that the bits stop rotating.
Do not touch the rotation selector when the tool is moving.
Only use original accessories.
Do not drop or knock the battery. Do not open the battery. Store the battery in a dry, frost-free
location.
The battery and charger are intended to be used together. Never use another charger other than
the one supplied.
Do not expose batteries to heat or direct sunlight – risk of explosion. Allow hot batteries to cool
before charging.
Never allow conductive objects to short circuit the terminals on the charger or battery.
Do not charge the battery if the tool has only been used for a few minutes.
Never allow the battery to become completely discharged. Charge the battery regularly if the tool is
not going to be used for a long time.
Before use
Charge the battery before using it for the first time. The battery is placed in the handle. Open the
battery clips and remove the battery from the handle. New batteries and batteries that have not
been used for a long time only reach full capacity after they have been charged and discharged
about 5 times. Replace the battery when the tool runs for a much shorter time after charging.
Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the mains supply voltage. Check
that the charger, power cord and plug are intact before use. A damaged power cord and/or plug
must be replaced by an authorised service centre or qualified contractor.
Do not expose the battery charger to moisture, or use it in damp conditions.
The charger must only be used to charge the supplied batteries.
Charging the battery
Plug in the charger cord and put the battery in the charger. The battery and charger get warm when
charging. This is completely normal. After charging (3 to 5 hours), unplug the power cord and remove the
battery.
