Adjustment Procedures
Results of Improper Adjustment
™
Reverse feed cylinder
1. Loosen nut

2. Turn the shaft of cylinder

and adjust so that the distance
from the end of shaft of cylinder

to cylinder connecting screw

should be 7 to 8 mm.
3. Tighten nut

When installing on the machine arm, install the cylinder so
that the fork section of reverse feed link

enters the hinge
screw of the feed adjusting rod.

Condensation cylinder
1. Loosen two setscrews

and remove cylinder

from window
plate

2. Loosen nut

3. Turn condensation cylinder screw

and adjust so that the
distance from the end of shaft of cylinder
5
to condensation
cylinder screw
8
should be 8 to 8.5 mm.
4. Tighten nut

5. Install cylinder

on window plate

with two setscrews

Confirmation 1. Actually perform sewing.
2. Check that the stitch length of one stitch
before thread trimming is 1.5 to 2 mm of
reverse feed stitching.

When the fork section does not
enter the hinge screw, stitches
of the reverse feed may not be
obtained.
When the distance from the cylinder
to the cylinder screw is smaller than
the specified value :
™
Stitch length of one stitch before
t h r e a d t r i m m i n g b e c o m e s
smaller.

Stitch skipping occurs at the time
of thread trimming and needle/
bobbin threads may not be cut.
When the distance from the cylinder
to the cylinder screw is larger than
the spedified value :
™
Stitch length of one stitch before
thread trimming becomes larger.
™
Remaining bobbin thread length
after thread trimming is longer.
™
Waiting knife base interferes
with feed dog or feed base
resulting in breakage..
