USE
Juicebox’s Gold Mount batteries are compatible with
all standard gold mount systems, both in voltage
and fit.
The Juicebox Gold Mount battery is compatible with
many non-gold-mount camera systems, as well,
including Blackmagic Cinema Cameras, Blackmagic
Production Cameras, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema
Cameras and Blackmagic Micro Cameras. Check your
camera’s documentation; if it can accept inputs be-
tween 14-17 volts (i.e. the Blackmagic Cinema Cam-
era’s requirement of 12-30 volts), it is compatible
with our gold mount battery. In many cases, a power
adapter cable is necessary. Please see your camera’s
documentation on power input to find requirements
for the necessary cable/adapter.
The Juicebox Gold Mount battery can also be used
with low power devices, such as field monitors and
DSLR cameras, with the use of a stepdown converter.
Some gold mount plates feature built-in low voltage
outputs, allowing for use with DSLR cameras, field
monitors and other accessories.
Never connect the gold mount, d-tap or DC ports to
devices that cannot accept at least 14.8 volts. Doing
so may damage connected devices.
Automatic Shut Off:
Juicebox gold mount batteries
are designed with overcharge and over-discharge
protection. If the power draw on the battery exceeds
10.4 amps, the battery will shut off. To reset the bat-
tery, connect it to the charger. If the Juicebox shuts
off during use, it’s likely that connected devices are
drawing too much power from the battery.
To power on the USB port,
with your USB device
connected to the battery,
press the LED indicator
button on the side of the battery. This button also
serves as a power button for the USB port. The USB
port outputs 5v and 2.1 amps and can be used
simultaneously with the battery’s gold mount and
d-tap outputs.
The d-tap port
functions as both a power input and
output. Both the d-tap port and DC port have the
same output (14.8V and 10.4A) as the gold mount
connection. The Juicebox gold mount battery can be
charged through either the gold mount connection
or the d-tap port.
Note:
Connecting auxilary devices to the battery’s
USB, DC and d-tap ports will add to the overall pow-
er draw of the battery. If this power draw exceeds
10.4 amps, the battery will automatically shut down
and requires connection to the battery charger in
order to reset.
