15) SPEAKING
ROBOTRON MINI emits random phrases that, in addition to talking about its intergalactic
mission, tell the oddities of the history of robotics. On button 1, it speaks in Spanish, on 2 in
Portuguese, and on 3 in English. There are up to 8 different options.
16) DANCE
After pressing these buttons, the robot dances, performing different movements and emitting
sounds for a few seconds.
17) MODE
The ‘MODO’ (mode) button is to change between ‘NORMAL’ (normal) mode and ‘LENTO’
(slow) mode, in which the robot moves slower.
GESTURE SENSOR SYSTEM
ROBOTRON MINI has a sensor on its chest (see page 4) that lets you control the robot using
hand gestures. To make it move forwards, place your hand in front of the sensor and move it
forward. To make it move backwards, put your hand in front of the sensor and move it slowly
towards the robot. To turn it left or right, place your hand in front of the sensor and move it in the
desired direction. The gestures are more effective if they start on top of the head of the robot,
then lowering the hand in front of its eyes until getting to the chest sensor and then performing
the gesture.
