(one tap fully open). During drawing, no
large volume of water should be drawn at
another point.
If the desired mixing water hardness is not
achieved, then it can be corrected by turning
the set screw of the mixing valve within the
marked adjustment range by no more that
one half turn. A value of about 10 °e is re-
commended.
If necessary, the setting must be changed
and re-measured a number of times until the
desired value is achieved.
After the softening, the sodium concentra-
tion in the mixing water increases, depend-
ent on the raw water hardness and the set
mixing water hardness.
According to current drinking water legisla-
tion, the limit value for sodium in drinking
water is 200 mg/l. Mineral and table water
are not affected by this. Their limit values
are much higher, partially greater than 1000
mg sodium per litre.
If the calculated total sodium content ex-
ceeds the valve permitted by the drinking
water legislation of 200 mg/l, then it can be
corrected by increasing the mixing water
hardness.
The calculation of the sodium content must
then be repeated.
