 Two-slice Toaster

Before first use

Remove any labels and/or swingtickets.
In order to remove any residue from the manufacturing process before first use,
proceed as follows:
1. Follow the “How to use” instructions to run the Toaster three times without bread

at the maximum browning setting (7) on both sets of controls.

It is normal for smoke and a hot smell to be emitted during this process;
manufacturing residues are being removed.

2. Allow to cool before toasting bread.

How to use

Site the Toaster on a firm level surface;
if necessary, protect vunerable
surfaces with a heat insulating pad.

The Toaster should be sited away from
soft furnishings or other flammable
materials.

Position the cable so it cannot be
unintentionally pulled or snagged. Use
the Cable Storage

 in the base to

keep the trailing Power Cable

 as

short as possible.

1. Ensure that the Crumb Trays

 are

fully inserted into the base of the
Toaster Body

2. Plug the Power Cable

 into a

mains socket (check your supply
is compatible with the Rating
Information - see “Specifications”)
and switch on at the socket.

3. Adjust the Browning Control(s)

.

We suggest starting at a setting of 3
or 4.  You can adjust further according
to the degree of browning you prefer.

If toasting a single slice you may wish
to reduce the setting by one position

4. Place the bread slices into the Toast

Carriage Slots

. Do not force

unsuitably shaped bread into the
Toast Carriage Slots

; if the bread is

oversized, it is better to trim it before
toasting.

If only one slice is being toasted,
use either of the slots closest to the
outside edge.

5. Activate the Toaster by pushing

the Bread Lower Lever(s)

 down

until it locks into place. Heating will
commence as soon as the lever is
lowered; the Cancel Indicator

 will

illuminate.

When toasting is finished the Toaster
will automatically lift the bread and
stop  heating.

CAUTION: the stainless steel
surround of the Toast Carriage Slots

 will become HOT during toasting.

To achieve even browning of bread
slices they must be of the same shape,
size, thickness and freshness. Even so,
there may be a small variation in the
degree that each side of the toast is
browned.

Pressing the Cancel Button

immediately switches heating off
and automatically raises the Toaster
carriage; for example, this might be
necessary if the toast is burning.
