13 Maintenance
The following maintenance should be completed.
CAUTION
The JHS-207 is a sealed waterproof radio, and does not contain any
user serviceable parts inside.
This radio must never be opened by anyone other than an authorized
JRC agent. Unauthorized disassembly will void your warranty.
If the radio is immersed in seawater, rinse it with fresh water immediately, otherwise,
wash away dirt and oil from the radio with warm water (no higher than 45 degrees
celsius) and mild dish soap.
Finish by rinsing with fresh water and drying.
Only wash the exterior of the radio.
13.1 Regular inspection
The lifetime of any equipment depends on how well you take care of it. The JHS-
207 is constructed to endure in a rough maritime environment. Regular inspection
is important to detect error symptoms and prevent potentially serious problems.
